Two bearded makers in canvas aprons stitching brown leather moc toe boots at a worn wooden bench, shelves of boots and lasts behind them

Made on Bedford Avenue A small workshop in Brooklyn making one boot since 2019

One boot, cut from whole hides Full grain and roughout leathers from tanneries we visit every year and resoled on the bench it was made.

Williamsburg is a small boot workshop on Bedford Avenue in Brooklyn. We make one boot, the moc toe, and we keep making it better. The uppers are cut by hand from whole hides so the best part of the skin goes into the vamp. Each pair is stitched to a Goodyear welt and lasted over our own wooden lasts, shaped for a foot that walks the city all day.

We work in small runs, a few dozen pairs a week, so the same hands cut, stitch and finish every boot that leaves the bench. A welted boot is made to be taken apart, and that is the point. When the sole wears through, send your pair back and we resole it here, for as many years as the leather lasts.
